Is there such a thing as “the perfect gift”? At Christmas time, shoppers go in search of it. Everyone wants his or her gift to be just what that receiver has always wanted. The things that people really want to make their lives better, can’t be bought from a store. I’m talking about good health, peace of mind, financial security, and long life to name a few.

There is a gift that can provide the missing elements of our lives. Best of all, anyone who knows where to find it can tell you where to get it free of charge. It sounds too good to be true, but this is one gift that delivers what it promises.

"Have you ever received an indescribable gift?" Have you ever received a gift that was beyond description? What kind of gift would it have to be to be called "indescribable?" Would it be a gift that you open & look at & say, "This is just beautiful, & it is something that I’ve wanted all my life what is it?"
Or maybe it is a gift that carries a lot of emotional feelings with it. It was given to you by someone very special, & it was a complete surprise when it was given. You’ll treasure it always because of the memories. Would that make it an indescribable gift? God presented this perfect gift to the world over 2,000 years ago.

God has given a gift which, to mere mortal men, is of such value and beauty and worthiness that it is hard to even imagine. The Apostle Paul spoke of it in 2 Corinthians 9:15 when he said, "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift." Why did Paul use the word "unspeakable" to describe God’s gift? I believe it is because God, in his infinite love and wisdom for mankind, wanted to give the greatest gift he ever could. It is a gift that mankind cannot even fully comprehend. In fact it is somewhat "unspeakable," at least by mortal tongue.

What words could truly be used to describe God’s great love in his choice of giving? To think that the one and only, Almighty God could love us even when we had sinned is … well … unspeakable in man’s description. God himself states it in John 3:16, "For God SO LOVED the world that he gave his only begotten Son…" Of course the gift which God gave in Christ is a gift which shows the greatest sacrifice that has ever been made. God, in the form of his son Jesus Christ, gave his life on the cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of mankind! All the receiver must do is realize that there is no way to save him/her self from sin, desire to repent or change their life from sin, and trust Christ as Saviour. Christ is the gift which allows the receiver eternal life in Heaven. God’s gift of love is that which is able to meet everyone’s needs, never wears out, never breaks, and is appropriate for every man, woman, boy and girl on the entire planet. Wow! That is some gift!

But the gift of God is not just the fact of salvation. Christ said in John 10:10, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." You see Christ not only gives life, but abundant life. He not only gives salvation FROM him, but a relationship WITH him. Think of the benefits that Christ’s abundant life gives: Improved relationships, stronger marriages, guidance in raising children, emotional strength to deal with difficult circumstances. This is all great, but greater yet is a personal relationship with him. A relationship … with GOD! He speaks to us through his Holy Word and we are able to speak to him in prayer at any time of any day.

The real question this year is, "What are YOU doing with God’s unspeakable gift?" As worthy as the gift of Christ is, a gift is not benefited until it is received. Have you been saved? Not through a church, or catechism, or baptism, or other good works; but have you received God’s gift provided through Jesus Christ? Have you trusted him alone as your personal Saviour to save you from your sins? Won’t you receive God’s gift of Christ today? And if you have already trusted him, will you love him in return and give yourself to him in service?

What is it that you get by receiving this gift?

Jesus? The Bible tells us that He is God. Matthew 1:23 says, “‘Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,’ which is translated ‘God with us.’” John 1:1-3,14.

He came to seek and to save the lost In Luke 19:10 Jesus said, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost”.

He came to die for our sins. I Corinthians 15:3 says, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures”. Note: Jesus foresaw all the sufferings that He would have to experience in order to be our Saviour. But He was willing to endure it all for our sake because in His great love for us He does not want us to be lost. For a really vivid description of what Christ was willing to endure for us, see the prophetic portrayals of His sacrifice Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53, written 1,000 years and 700 years respectively before the cross. Truly Jesus was “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” Revelation 13:8. This means that even before we were created, He was totally committed in His heart to be our Saviour, if the need should arise. His death was completely voluntary for the sake of our salvation. Could there be any greater love than this? John 10:18; 15:13,14.

He came to bear witness to the truth. Jesus declared in John 18:37, “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.” The truth is important because only the truth can set us free and change our lives so that we can honor God and benefit others. John 8:32-36; 17:17-20.

He came to destroy the power and works of Satan. 1 John 3:5,8 states that Jesus “was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. . . For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.” See also Ezekiel 19:16-19 and Hebrews 2:14.

He came to bring us into an everlasting relationship of love with God the Father. God’s word says it in 1 Peter 3:18, NKJV. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.” In Ephesians 2:4-7, we find that “God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 2:4-7.

Let us remember the real reason of Christmas is the "unspeakable gift" of wonder and love which is found in Christ!

Never despise small beginnings. As the Worship Center prepares to close out the year 2009, and look forward to 2010 and all the Lord has for us. I want to reflect on the last four weeks. Two Sunday services in a row, the power of the Lord was so manifested in our presence that all we could do was worship Him, and He ministered to the body.

No preaching, just the power and presence of God Almighty in the sanctuary. Two Sunday’s in a row God touched His people as only He can! And out of that we have begun to see growth. The last two Sunday’s have seen an increase in attendance.

So as I write this to the Worship Center family, I want you to get ready and hold on. We have turned the corner and now is the time to position ourselves for the mighty hand of God to be moving in our favor. If you have not already put your hand to the plow to help your church do the business of the kingdom, now is the time to do so!

God and your church needs for you to use your God given ability, talent, desire to do something for God. I and the first Lady cannot do all that God is desiring to do in our church and even this community by ourselves. We want you to get excited about what is gong on and to tell others!

Acts 6:2-7 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; 4but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

5And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, 6whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.

7Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

As we work together in the unity of the spirit of the living God we are going to see in our church, community the number of the disciples of Christ multiplied greatly and a great many become obedient to the faith. Me You & Just Us Few no more!

The First National Day of Thanksgiving 3 Oct 1863, Proclamation by Pres. Abraham Lincoln. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy.

It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and voice by the whole American people. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to his tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.

Well it’s about that time of year again, when we begin to remember how it was at ma ma’s house, all the aroma of the hoilday season begin to come rushing back again. It’s that time of year when we take stock of where we are, and where we have come from. And as the year draws to a close, we look to new beginnings. For many they are thankful for the material things of life, money, car’s houses…etc. Many are thankful for their families and friends and all the good times they shared.

But how many of you know that the word of God say’s, He knows what we have need of , shelter, food, clothing the material thngs of life. thought God does not want us to base our grtitude only upon the material things, but rather God would have us to look deeper………!

For the child of God, as we approach this Thanksgiving, we give thanks yes, for our country, for family and friends. The material blessings that God the Father has blessed us with. But there is much more to the story than that. We remember the diffcult times of the past months and give thanks for how the Lord brought us through. We remember the great joy of the blessings of God through the year. Prayer’s answered, love one’s saved or encouraged. His visitation with us in what at the time seemed like our darkest hour, but he gave us peace.

We remember who we were before we meant Jesus, before we accepted His offer of forgiveness, before we said not our will, but His will be done in our lives. What a difference a change makes. Instanly we were washed in His blood and went form the dark soul of despair, into His marvelious light, we went from being an enemy of God, to be called a friend of God, His child!

And somehow as we travel this road of life, we begin to realize that what Jesus Christ did for us, is so mind blowing, and we are so unworthy of it, that all other things, people become insignificant. The palmst said it like this,

Psalm 95:1-6 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”

So just what does the Christian “Give Thanks” for. It’s simple we give thanks for the sacrifice on the cross, by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from which all blessings flow. Remember Jesus this Thanksgiving

Praise the Lord Worship Center Family! Just wanted to drop a few lines to you about the church and where we are going, you know the “Vision”.

We are in the beginnings of laying the foundation for what God is calling us to do here in Baumholder. I know some only see the church as a place that we go to be with other people that say that they are believers. A place where people go and sing about Jesus, and talk about Jesus, hear about Jesus and then go home.

Well this is not what our vision of the church is! We see the church as a place where we come to reaffirm our faith in Christ Jesus and to encourage one another, as well as a place to grow our faith in the Word. But the church is also like a hospital, “Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Luke 5:31 And again He said, But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

This is the mission of the Baumholder International Worship Center, to reach out to the sick in body and spirit, to tell the world that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, feed the hungry, delivery the oppressed and depressed cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead, cast out demons! Win people to the kingdom. And that just for starters.

We, the First Lady and I are not able to do this alone. We are looking for servants of the Lord to reach out to our community and make a difference for the Kingdom of God. We want to have Life Groups, all over the community sharing the Word and winning people to Christ!

Prayer You can be a part of this great calling, first by praying for this ministry, and asking Gods favor and blessing on this ministry.

Servants Heart Asking God what can you personally do to help this ministry. We each have a talent, ability something we can offer to the Lord for His glory.

Financies Thirdly financial support. Yes ministry needs finances; God has not dropped manna out of the sky lately. But He has commanded that we bring ten percent (10%) of our gross to His house, as well as an offering as we set in our hearts. In this manner we can begin to see God use us to reach our community. We ask that if you are willing to be a part of this great calling let it be known, invite someone to meet Jesus, tell everyone you know until they see in themselves their need for Jesus Christ! We won’t give up, give out or give in, because Jesus is coming back!

Revelation 7:9-10 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
